Graduate Student Spotlight
The goal of the AC4MobHCI 2012 Graduate Student Spotlight is to provide research students pursuing MSc or PhD degrees with an opportunity (1) to present their work to a group of distinguished researchers and peers from a diverse set of academic and industrial institutions, and (2) to receive feedback on their research. We invite all research MSc / PhD students who are conducting, or are interested in pursuing research, in the areas of Affective Computing, Human-Computer Interaction, and/or Mobile Computing.
Limited amount of scholarship is available for high quality submissions to partially cover the attendance costs.
Submission Guidelines
Graduate students pursuing MSc/PhD degree in Affective Computing, Human-Computer Interaction, and Mobile Computing, or a related field, should submit the following materials:
- Extended Abstract: A two-page description of your research,
plan and progress, together with your name and affiliation. The
submissions should cover:
- Motivation, background and related work,
- Research scope and key research questions,
- Approach and methodology,
- Results (if any) and a description of future work,
- Statement of contributions to date (if any) and expected contributions.
- Letter from supervisor: A letter of support from the student's supervisor describing how the AC4MobHCI 2012 Graduate Student Spotlight might contribute to the student's research.
- Student CV: Up to two-page curriculum vitae of the student.
All materials should be prepared in PDF format and emailed to ac4mobhci@gmail.com.

Review Process
AC4MobHCI 2012 Graduate Student Spotlight submissions will be evaluated based on the quality of the submission and its relevance to the workshop topics, and the expected benefits of the workshop for the student's research.
Attendance
All authors of accepted submissions are expected to attend the workshop and the AC4MobHCI 2012 Graduate Student Spotlight poster session. A detailed workshop program and guidelines for the poster session will be made available via the workshop website.
